New Mexico based artist Kimber Key was in residence September 2023 and during the week she was in Virginia with me we made this STUNNING jigsawed chiaroscuro woodcut.
Kimber and I used two blocks for this, the red key line on one and all the colors on another. We printed the light pink, and then cut that block into smithereens and printed the rest of the colors next. Finally we dropped the dark red key line on there and called it a damn good day.
